π°πͺ HOLIDAY CAKIES RECIPE πͺπ°⠀

This recipe is super easy to follow and makes for a delicious treat π€€ Here is our delicious cakie recipe but holiday-ified – perfect for any holiday party or gathering this season π✨ Feel free to get creative with your toppings!!⠀

INGREDIENTS⠀
1 batch of Yo’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough⠀
½ batch of Yo’s Ultimate Chocolate Cake (scraps work as well)⠀
Peppermint Patties ⠀
1 batch of Italian Meringue Buttercream (or any holiday flavoured IMBC)⠀
1 batch of Yo’s Coffee infused IMBC⠀
1 batch of Chocolate Ganache ⠀
Simple syrup ⠀
Toppings of your choice⠀

TOOLS⠀
Baking trays ⠀
Non-stick baking mat or parchment paper⠀
Rubber spatula⠀
Small offset spatula⠀
Circle cutter ⠀

INSTRUCTIONS⠀
1️⃣ Prepare your chocolate chip cookie dough. Roll it out into even sized balls (about 2oz each). Add a peppermint patty in the middle of balls to give the cookies a kick then bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown at the edges. ⠀
2️⃣ Remove your chocolate cake from the pan (once it’s completely cooled down) then level it. Use a cookie cutter that is smaller than the cookies then cut out circles from your chocolate cake. Soak them in simple syrup and set them aside.⠀
3️⃣Place your candy melts in the microwave for 20 second increments until they’re completely melted. Dip your cookies in halfway then wipe off the excess and lay them on the baking tray with a non-stick mat or parchment paper. Drizzle on some white candy melts on top. Let set.⠀
4️⃣Spread a thin layer of chocolate ganache on the inside of two cookies, leaving a border around the edges. Place a circle cut cake between the cookies.⠀
5️⃣Spread buttercream around the cake in between the two cookies. Gently press the sides of your cakies into your various toppings. This is where you can get super creative.
